One of the things you should be focusing on when it comes to your health is how much you are sleeping. You never realize what is going on when you are tucked up in your bed, your body is busy repairing all the things that are perhaps broken or torn from the previous days. If you are not getting enough sleep then this can’t happen and you may start to experience various aches and pains.

Ideally, you should be getting between six and eight hours of sleep each night. If this isn’t happening then you need to find out why. It could be due to a number of things including stress, a lumpy mattress, or kids waking you up through the night.

Health Checks

Something else to remember when it comes to your health and well-being is check ups. These are often scheduled in advance so you know when to expect them and where you have to go for them. Some you can expect is a trip to your doctor once a year for a health MOT, of course, you can always call them if you need anything in the meantime.

You should also ensure you are visiting your optician for eye checks and your audiologist for a hearing test. This will ensure you are always on top of every health check and nothing catches you by surprise. 

Water

How much water do you drink during the day? The answer should be around eight glasses which equates to around two litres. However, if you don’t drink this much then you are at risk of struggling with dehydration. Your body is made up of around 60% water and this is regularly lost throughout the day.

It is essential you replace this so all your vital organs have some hydration to do their job. If you struggle drinking water then you could try flavored water, this will do exactly the same thing.

4. Exercise

Finally, are you moving around enough during the day? If you lead a busy lifestyle with work and home life then you may not have spare time to work out. The good news is it doesn’t have to be a long workout. You could do just 10 minutes a day and that would make a huge difference to your life and health.

Find something you enjoy doing such as swimming or running, this will make whatever you do more sustainable.
