Hi everyone and Welcome to the The Code of Style Magazine.and this article about “How to choose the right jewelry for any outfit”.

Jewelry can help to boost the formality of an outfit, bring interest to a simple look, or add a pop of color and focus. Jewelry is a timeless accessory that every woman needs in her wardrobe. Pairing the right jewelry with the right outfit enhances both, but it can be difficult to do. Here’s how to choose the right jewelry for any outfit, so you always look and feel good

More Isn’t Always More

When you’re wearing a formal dress for an event, the classic advice is to pile on your jewelry and really amp it up to match the formality of the outfit. In fact, sometimes the opposite is better.

Sometimes, simple, small jewelry pieces work best with formal gowns and other more formal outfits. Try shiny, delicate pieces like simple diamond stud earrings to add a subtle touch to your look without taking the focus off your beautiful dress.

If you have facial piercings, make sure these are subtle and beautiful too when you’re going formal, like monreo rings from UrbanBodyJewelry.com

Pay Attention To Necklines

A necklace with a clashing neckline can throw off a whole look. The right necklace accentuates the outfit. For a strapless dress, choose a chunky choker or a short pendant style necklace that sits close to the neck. If you’re wearing an off the shoulder shirt or a one-sleeved dress, this is best complemented by a thick, dangly necklace with an interesting design or follow the asymmetrical design of the top with an asymmetrical necklace.

If you choose a high-necked or collared shirt, pair it with a large pendant on a short, thin chain necklace. Low-necked shirts or dresses look best with shorter chains that match the shape of the neckline. For example, for a V-neck top, opt for a V-shaped pendant, for a halter-neck top, choose a narrow pendant with a sharp end and pair a sweetheart neckline with curved beads or a curved necklace.

A cowl neck top already has a detailed neckline, so you would be best to add the focus with earrings rather than adding more detail in the neck area.

When a neckline already has some sort of embellishment, such as a peter pan collar or “built-in” sequins, then there is no need to add more.

Match Print Shapes

Something that is often overlooked when pairing jewelry with clothing is matching the shapes of your jewelry to the shapes of the patterns on your clothes.

This tip is especially important when you’re wearing a shirt or dress with a bold pattern or print. Only wear necklaces and earrings which are reminiscent of the print, and select shapes that harmonise with the print. For example, avoid hoop earrings with an angled stripe, and use a more angular earring instead.

Match Bracelets With Sleeves

A good rule to start with for choosing bracelets is that the longer that your sleeve length is, the fewer bracelets you should wear, and the thinner those bracelets should be, and in general, stick to wearing sleeves that end above your bracelet.

For example, a thick cuff bracelet will look beautiful with a sleeveless summer dress. Thin, delicate bracelets look nice paired with a longer-sleeved sweater. If your sleeves come below your elbows, keep your bracelet simple or just skip wearing one.

If you want to wear a bracelet with longer sleeves, then remember to just push the sleeves up to showcase it or them.

And don’t forget to pay attention to your body shape, as a bracelet is more than just a fashion accessory to make you look stylish. It also draws attention to your arms, so you can use it to make the best of your features. Generally, small boned people look best in delicate, thinner styles while those with bigger bones suit larger and more eye-catching designs. If you have short arms you will want to opt for thinner, more delicate pieces whereas longer arms can carry off thicker bracelets.

Balance With Long Necklaces

A long necklace can be an ideal way to balance out a look that might normally make your shape look boxy or shapeless. Looser clothing can make you look shorter and wider than you really are, but will look really good if you add on a long, tapered necklace.

A t-shirt dress is the perfect partner for a long chain with one large pendant, as it adds balance to your outfit.
